Garment Construction + Fashion Film
Creative Director, Fashion Designer, Stylist, and Graphic Designer.

I come from a long line of women in fashion, but it was my grandmother who taught me how to sew. We would comb through her bins of vintage patterns from the forties to the seventies and I would always choose ones we both knew were out of my grasp and then she would find me something that was beautiful and simple.
For this project I was tasked to create a garment and a film to capture it. I immediately flocked to my collection of old patterns and looked for something that I knew would’ve likely been taken out of my younger hands. I found a pattern for a lovely cape that I altered to have an ultra-short hem. I felt like the protective sculptural elements of the cape, contrasted with a sexier hem would be so
truly sixties.
For the film I just wanted to create something that was beautiful and simple.
